Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question? We have the answers! Don’t see your answer? Email us at email@example.com. Last updated: August 1, 2022
How do I know if I should purchase the individual or corporate ticket?
Attendees are free to choose which ticket they ultimately purchase. If you plan to buy and fund your own trip, we recommend the Individual ticket. If your employer is financing your ticket, travel, and/or accommodations, consider the Corporate ticket. Supporter tickets receive the same attendee benefits as the others but provide added travel support to our conference Scholars and conference operations. Supporters are acknowledged with a text link on our Sponsors' page.
Are there discounted hotel rates?
Yes, you can book a discounted stay at the Hilton Americas-Houston today! The discounted hotel rates expire on Wednesday, October 26th, or when the room block fills, whichever comes first.
What happens once I am registered?
Approximately a week before RubyConf, attendees will receive an email containing conference details. Details will include updated information, dates and times of social events, WIFI details, where to get swag, and more!
Are there any ticket discounts available?
Yes! We offer a 50% student discount and a 10% discounted registration rate for companies registering five or more individuals. If this applies to you, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

How far is the conference hotel from the airport?
In Houston, you can choose between the Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH), roughly 25-30 minutes from the hotel, or the William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), approximately 15-20 minutes from the conference hotel. Learn more on the location page
